How to do addition with Mr George and Friends

Hello Y2.

We all hope you have been enjoying your maths recently. Some of your emails to Mr George and Mrs Edmands have been asking us how we do particular maths questions and how we have taught you to work them out. Last week you will have seen Mrs Edmands and friends show you how to do number fraction questions.

Now Mr George has dragged those same children back into school again to teach you how to column addtion. He's never had a class so well behaved! We thought it would be useful to show you how we have been teaching the children to do this type of addtion at school so you know the techniques we use.

(It does not involve carrying, we just wanted to keep it basic for now.)
