It is with a great sense of pride that I write to you as the Executive Headteacher of both Oldfield Park Infant School and Oldfield Park Junior School respectively. Indeed, although we share common values, history and the wonderful community of Oldfield Park, they are two seperate schools.
Oldfield Park Infant School, sometimes referred to as OPIS, is a community school for children from the ages of 4 to 7 years. The history of the school dates from 1878 and the school has a long tradition of serving the local community. Some families have been educated here for several generations! OPIS is proud to be part of the Palladian Academy Trust alongside ten other schools and do follow the tab on the side to learn more.
The school has an excellent reputation in the local community and everyone associated with the school works hard to provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment for the children. Children are cared for as individuals and are encouraged to achieve their best in all aspects of school life. In July 2015 OFSTED judged Oldfield Park Infant School to be a good school with outstanding Early Years Provision. In October 2019 OFSTED reaffirmed this judgement following a 2 day Section 8 inspection.
We place great value on the positive relationships that exist between all members of our school community and encourage strong links between home and school.
Ours is a school where individuals’ needs are of paramount importance and we value each achievement that our children make. We are proud of Oldfield Park Infant School and warmly welcome visits from prospective parents.
Finally, splitting time across both schools give me the chance to see our children successfully grow over their seven year journey through the Oldfield Park Schools. It does make life rather busy to be fair, however I am very lucky to have two fantatstic Head of Schools who ensure the smooth running of both OPI and OPJ. Mr Seatter is Head of School at OPI and is always on hand to answer any questions, queries or a cuppa!
