It is with a great sense of pride that I write to you as the Headteacher of Oldfield Park Infant School.
Oldfield Park Infant School, sometimes referred to as OPI, is a community school for children from the ages of 4 to 7 years. The history of the school dates from 1878 and the school has a long tradition of serving the local community. Some families have been educated here for several generations! OPIS is proud to be part of the Palladian Academy Trust alongside ten other schools and do follow the tab on the side to learn more.
The school has an excellent reputation in the local community and everyone associated with the school works hard to provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment for the children. Children are cared for as individuals and are encouraged to achieve their best in all aspects of school life. In October 2019 OFSTED gave the school a GOOD judgement following a 2 day Section 8 inspection. In April 2025 OFSTED reaffirmed that judgement and gave us a glowing report.
We place great value on the positive relationships that exist between all members of our school community and encourage strong links between home and school.
Ours is a school where individuals’ needs are of paramount importance and we value each achievement that our children make. We are proud of Oldfield Park Infant School and warmly welcome visits from prospective parents.
