Our School Council – The School helpers

At Oldfield Park Infant school our school council decided they wanted to be called school helpers. We meet regularly to discuss different aspects of school life.

We meet with Mr George, our Deputy Head Teacher and Bev Probert who is one of our governors often joins us for our meetings. Some of the things we have discussed recently include:

Our school also holds the Children’s Society’s ‘Children’s Rights Silver Award’ and we are working towards the Gold Award. The award shows that children at Oldfield Park Infant School get the chance to make decisions and that their ideas and opinions
are listened to by the grown-ups.

Our new school helpers have just been chosen for this academic year. They are:

Oscar Stewart and Ella Boyle from Rabbit Class

Lila Cohen and Charlie Coombes from Squirrel Class

Camron Hudson and Millie Thorpe from Otter Class
