All the Year Twos go to the SS Great Britain

Our new topic has started with a wonderful day out at the SS Great Britain. We had the perfect weather and a very interesting day finding out about the ship and Mr IK Brunel. There was a workshop about Brunel as an engineer, a chance travel back in time to launch the ship in 1843, a guided tour of the ship with Captain Jack and we still had time to have a look around ourselves. We especially enjoyed going under the water and seeing the talking toilet!

Royal Wedding Celebration Lunch

Looking forward to the wedding on Saturday we had a street party style lunch. Lovely sunny day, but a bit windy so we had to hold onto our crowns and tiaras!

Squirrel Class Maths Workshop with our parents

Our maths workshop with the parents was a great success on Friday afternoon. Amongst other things we showed the adults how to measure, use coins to make the correct amount of money, make 3d shapes, work out number problems, tell the time, work out maths challenges about number values and how to listen really well! What a very busy classroom it was!
