Play Afternoon

Today we had our first ever play afternoon. We have been working hard over the year to improve our play provision for the children and today we had an afternoon full of amazing play opportunities for the children to show them that we recognise the importance of play at OPIS. There was a beach party, a nail bar, dressing up, bubbles and ball games, just to name a few of the activities that were going on!

One Night at the Palladian

What an great show it was!

Miss Capetti’s dance troop performed “I Just Can’t Wait to be King” from the Lion King and Mr George’s choir sang “I Love the Mountains”

Both groups represented out school extremely well making us very proud.

Visit to the SS Great Britain

On Friday we visited the SS Great Britain to launch our new topic Isambard Kingdom Brunel. We had a fantastic day learning about the man beneath the hat. We explored the ship finding out what it would have been like to travel over 150 years ago and took part in a workshop where we even had the opportunity to dress up!!

Royal Wedding Lunch

We had a lovely street party lunch on Thursday. The whole school enjoyed eating outside in the sunshine to celebrate the wedding of Prince Harry to Megan Markle. The playground looked fantastic with all the bunting the classes had made and the children loved wearing their crowns.
